The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Local Health Nurse I (grade 15) or LHNII (grade 18) position to work at the District office in Bowling Green as a Communicable Disease team member.
The minimum requirement is an Associate degree or diploma in nursing from an accredited college, university, or school of nursing. Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).
Responsibilities include: TB investigation and control activities, TB direct observed therapies home visits; investigation and case management of patients with communicable diseases; care coordination and follow-up with local medical providers, state program consultants, and client family members; data collection and analysis; outreach; and other duties as assigned.
The minimum hourly wage is $17.10 with excellent benefits. Employees are under probationary period for 6 months. Once the probationary period is completed, the employee's salary will increase 5%.
