Public Health Director III
The Madison County Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Director III.
General Duties include: This position serves at the discretion of the Madison County Board of Health. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to: Directs the personnel of a single county health department as appointing authority in providing a variety of public health services (medical, environmental, home and community based waiver and support services) to the people of Madison County, Kentucky. Performs a variety of tasks such as planning, financial management, organizing, and measuring performance of the staff. Assesses and analyzes the health status of Madison County. Has a close working relationship with state agencies which provide technical assistance and support. Incorporates the Core Public Health Functions, Local Health Priorities, and the Ten Essential Public Health Services into the practice of the agency. Serves as secretary to the Board of Health.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public or Health Administration, Public or Community Health, Nursing, Social Science, Education, or other related degree. Experience: None required; experience in public health or other health related occupations, including supervisory or management capacity highly preferred.
Starting Salary: $32.45 - $42.32/hour, negotiable with additional experience. Grade 29.
