Position: North Central District Health Department has an opportunity for a full-time Public Health Accreditation Coordinator. This is a non-exempt, contract position. The salary range for this position is $25.63-$31.86 hourly. Some of the responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to; Serve as the lead person for NCDHD’s pre-accreditation and PH Accreditation efforts.

  • Organize and maintain strategic plan documents and status reports.
  • Synchronize PHAB’s (Public Health Accreditation Board) documentation requirements with NCDHD’s strategic plan;
  • Work closely with Leadership to establish agency-wide accountability for the necessary files needed to comply with PHAB expectations;
  • Create sustainability of NCDHD’s strategic plan and accreditation advancement, and identify and maintain an agency wide performance management in accordance with PHAB accreditation standards;
  • Attend regional, state and national meetings regarding accreditation;
  • Keep NCDHD staff abreast of accreditation, quality improvement, public health informatics and performance management;
  • Serve as point of contact for strategic plans, status reports, quality improvement and training;
  • Update and maintain accreditation documentation files on-line;
  • Participate in local, state and national partners and agencies regarding accreditation, and foster relationships/establish partnerships with community partners (i.e. local government, Public Safety/Emergency Management, Senior Center, public/private schools, DCBS, Red Cross, etc.) to promote and create a healthier community.
  • Position will also participate in NCDHD’s health education program with planning and implementation in order to promote positive health behaviors while working to reduce or eliminate health risk behaviors in individuals and the community.
  • Serve as lead for agencies QI and QA
  • Serve as a back-up for Emergency Preparedness lead person
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Health Education, Planning, Epidemiology, or related degree and three (3) years of experience in program management experience or closely related activities.

OR

Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Health Education, Planning, Epidemiology, or related degree and one (1) year of experience in program management or closely related activities.

Location:

North Central District Health Department serves the communities of Henry, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties in Kentucky. We are centrally located between the two largest cities in Kentucky, Louisville, and Lexington.
